For churches, leaders, and families
Don’t Drop the Baton.
The need for effective and authentic discipleship is the absolute, most important need of the church today. There is no greater issue.
The Discipleship Deficit
The need is real. The handoff matters.
Pastors, leaders, and families care deeply about discipleship. The question is whether people are being formed, equipped, and sent to reproduce the life of Jesus.
“The cost of discipleship is indeed great. But the cost of nondiscipleship is far greater.” — Dallas Willard
Fewer than 5% of U.S. churches have a consistently reproducing disciple-making culture.
While 87% of pastors say discipleship is a top-three priority, only 27% actually have a plan to achieve it.
Only 30% of U.S. pastors have specific methods to evaluate discipleship progress within their congregations.
Almost 50% of adult Christians are not engaged in any form of discipleship community.
Only 17% of Christians know what the Great Commission is and what it means.
Only 4% of American adults and 12% of children’s pastors hold a fully biblical worldview.
Research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University confirms that only 1% of Generation Z possesses a comprehensive biblical worldview.
Only 10% of Christian twentysomethings develop into “resilient disciples” who trust foundational scripture, commit to Jesus personally, and desire to impact others.
Where the Journey Begins
Become the Kind of Disciple and Leader Who Makes Disciples
Many followers of Jesus genuinely want to make disciples—but they lack the confidence, clarity, and skill to do what Christ has commissioned us to do.
That’s where this journey begins.
Our discipleship pathway focuses on cultivating and imparting the nature of a Jesus-type disciple-maker, not merely transferring more information.
The truth is simple: you cannot impart or produce something you are not.
Through intentional, relational discipleship, you will grow into the kind of disciple whose life and leadership naturally helps others follow Christ well.
